When I close my eyes...
I see Caleb falling playing make-believe football,
Landing on his hands,
So the flap of skin looked like a door to a room full of blood.
I hear John chuckling as he shows me
How he slid through the mud
And is now wearing the field on his pants.
I hear John asking me, "Can I wash off this mud?"
And I hear Nadia's mom responding, "The mud's gotta dry first, honey."
I hear jubilant students cheering during the compass relay,
And I see Bria grab Diego's hand and sprint,
Helping her friend find his way to the finish line.
I see Anthony's eyes squeezed shut,
His arms extended, swaying side to side,
Imagining himself a bird whose wings
Can lift him high enough to see the city below.
On the field trip I did not like that we could not go to Winn Dixie. Also in the second part we did not get to play. The part with the map. . I learned that tea comes from different places. Last year we hot to have free time. I wondered if they are closing Winn Dixie.
ReplyDeleteMy experience on the field trip was AWESOME! We ate at Lafayette Square Park. We went on the bus and went to the Children's Museum. We went into a little section where you enter and talk about what your going to do. We talked about maps and routes. We went to 3 different groups. The first one we were able to color a route. We were able to draw what you want in your neighborhood. The second was my most favorite. We got to play with the different boats and objects. We put on costumes while we played. The third we learned about the Compass Rose: North, South, East and West.
